THOUGHTS OF THE DAY 4/17

TIME UNTIL NEXT POTUS ELECTION:

935 Days, 13 Hours, 39 Minutes, 15 Seconds

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

“God will judge our enemies.  We will arrange the meeting.”

— Quote from U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. arm patch

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards.”

— Eric Holder, United States Attorney General, Chief Law Enforcement Officer

The only COWARDS in this country, Mr. Holder, are the politicians and appointed officials who are not doing their jobs and you, my confused friend, are at the top of the list.  Your motives for statements as misguided as this one are obvious.  You serve as a puppet to your Master.  He, of course, being the most misguided of all.  With the chances you have had, the education you possess and the supposed intellect, I would have expected much better.  But, alas you will be remembered not, only through mental meandering such as, “What was that loser’s name? Obama’s puppet,  I can’t remember! It doesn’t matter.”

WORD OF THE DAY:

BUCKSWANGING – A punishment used by grinders and other workmen for idleness, drunkenness, etc.  The offender is jostled against a thorn hedge or a wall.  It requires four men to do this, two to hold the offender’s arms and two to hold his legs.  Grinders generally buckswang a man against the wall of the Grinder’s wheel.

RULE OF THE DAY:

“I also saw under the sun this example of wisdom that greatly impressed me: There was once a small city with only a few people in it. And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it and built huge siege works against it. Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man. So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.

The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.

Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.”
